Blogathon Canada in Alberta!

We've had a lot of fun visiting BC and the Maritimes over the last two days and now we're visiting Alberta! There are so many amazing quilting bloggers in this province that we're sure you'll enjoy visiting! Meet our fantastic hosts and lovely quilting bloggers from Alberta.

The Hosts:

Katherine at Sew Me Something Good

Katherine Greaves is a wife, mother and most recently a designer.  Sewing is her first love, one that began as a child under the mentorship of her paternal great-grandmother.  She can't remember a time she wasn't making something.  From clothes to home decor and now quilting, fabric and thread seem to hold her together. Many other needle crafts have their place in her life as well. Crochet, embroidery and knitting are favourites.  Her love of needle crafts paired with a love of vintage, naturally led to making her a collector of vintage notions, patterns and more recently, sewing machines.  To date she is the happy owner of 6 vintage Singer sewing machines.  Her first Singer is 15-91 she named Belle.   Since Belle came to live with her, all quilts are pieced on this vintage beauty. Currently living and dreaming in Calgary, Alberta, she is trying to make her passion for creativity become a living by sharing what she loves with others.

Andrea at Urban Quiltworks

Andrea lives in Calgary, Alberta and blogs over at Urban Quiltworks, also known as Millions of Thoughts. Andrea enjoys creating her own quilt designs using simple, clean lines and is inspired by bold geometric patterns.  Her newest quilting phase is becoming a long arm quilter and she has become addicted to giving loads of texture to quilts.  Andrea researches things endlessly and is always trying to learn new things.

Katherine and Andrea have chosen delicious goodies from our store to giveaway on their blogs and have a great list of blogs from Alberta for you to visit. Check them out and enter the giveaways on their blogs to win amazing prizes!
